Hello,

My wife and I are thinking about moving to Mt Pleasant from the Dallas area. We are looking for houses and are interested in new construction and being toward the south end of town. Does anyone have any info or thoughts on the new development at Sweetgrass Village?

I've been reviewing the forum and look forward to joining this community. Thanks to everyone for all of their comments as they are helpful for those of us that have similar questions.

Most folks don't consider being north of the IOP Connector the "south" end of MtP.

As to the neighborhood itself...the houses sure are going up fast...

That's all I know.

We closed on a home 5 minutes away...Charleston County...in MtP but not within the Town of MtP. Small development of only 7 homes.

Lot is 1/3 acre and the home was optioned out to our specs (semi-custom builder) it was under $130/sqft.

We drove through there in May. No homes were built yet. Small development. Looks like only about 16 or so homes are to be built. Lot sizes looked to be decent.

One side of Sweetgrass Village is bordered by a development called Chadbury Village - a very cute, small - 2 streets - subdivision of small Charleston style homes.

The other side of Sweetgrass Village is bordered by a trailer park. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, just an FYI.

33 homes according to DRH.

The lots I've seen listed are just under .2 acres.

If you want a $330k house next to a trailer park then this is for you. Otherwise if you want new construction in mt p check Carolina park or tupelo.

Where is Tupelo? Is it North of Carolina Park?

Saw Carolina Park last trip out and thought it was really nicely done. Don't know about yard size though.
