You are on the roller coaster ride that is our Charleston winter. Yes, to be 32 degrees in the morning is normal. It is not unusual during our "winter" to be in the 70's in the day time and then drop 40 degrees for the night. There is a period, usually starting in October and ending in December, in which I will have to keep out and wear both "summer" and "winter" clothes. The same holds true at the end of the season, usually around Feb - March. You can pretty much count on the middle to end of December through the middle to end of February to be our coldest time.
one of the biggest differences i felt when we came down here from the north, is the sun will actually warm the day. This am by us it's in the 20's, but will hit 60 later. Back home in WI, sun or no sun the temp could remain the same all day esp in winter lol
I hope this is just because of the artic blast coming through. IF not i am going to need to order some clothes from LL Bean. I gave away my heavy clothes during the move.
LOL...
I was saying the same thing.. Looked at weather.com and said "Wtf"... I'm moving from the cold, to the cold.. DOH! Thankfully it's only temporary.
I've been told that colder winters are usually welcome around here ... apparently the more frosts you get and the colder the winter the less mosquitoes will be alive the next summer.
I don't mind the cold, it's a nice change - want some sense of season. Glad to hear that it doesn't last.
this am it was colder by me here, then family back in WI. The big positive, is that we'll be back in 60's/70's in a couple days, by them not so much. And that's why we migrated south 5 yrs ago lol
