I have been checking out real estate in the area because my husband has been offered a job in Harleyville...the usual big sites as well as some of the local brokers. Would also be interested in FSBO listings....I checked the Post Courier Online Classifieds and forsalebyowner.com, but was wondering if there is anything else I should be checking?
Also, if anyone has recommendations for a good Realtor, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
Keep in mind many FSBO sellers expect they are going to get the sales price you agreed to. If you have a buyers agent, many FSBOers expect you will make arrangements to pay your agent. Meaning it will not come out of the sales price.
Typically a buyers agent will expect 3% of the sale price as their commission.
If you have an agent contact the FSBO first saying they represent an interested buyer, the agent can often arrange a commission to come from the seller. If you contact the FSBO first it might be harder to get that concession.
Sending a DM as well.
