The wildly-popular ride-sharing app Uber lands in Charleston and three other South Carolina cities today, and for a few days only, your first few rides using the ad hoc taxi service can be free.

Both new and existing users — get your first 5 rides FREE (up to $25 each) in Charleston, Greenville, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach through July 24.

Been using it religiously to get to dinner after work, just wanted to pass this along..

Take it to the beach, bars, airport...etc

*I'm not affiliated with Uber, nor do I receive any compensation with this company*

What is Uber anyway? From I've heard it's basically just getting in a car with random people....

Uber is a App, that send a request for a car to pick you up like a cab. The Car are private cars that are covered under a Uber Insurance policy, All transactions are done on your smart phone. No cash Exchange takes place.

Pricing is variable based on supply/demand More people want a Uber car the price goes up.
