I have not yet been to SC. I may be relocating there. I love the beach but want a little bit of land that's not in a subdivision. Is there such a thing around this area? Planning on putting a Tiny Home there. I don't really want to live in an rv park with it. I have kids but am ok with homeschooling if we can't get into a good school district. Any ideas?
well I dont want more than 5 acres prefer only 1-2 acres. and I'm thinking I only want to pay $50K total
I want to be within a 30 min drive of a beach though I would be happy with a lake lot since that is generally more affordable than near the ocean. I just don't know where to look.
$50K, 5 acres, close to the beach, small home, raise kids in it plus homeschool them. Why does this sound like trolling to me? I could be wrong. Might just be a person off their meds or smoking some funny stuff.

How about an acre only 45 minutes from the beach for 100K? There's a parcel down the street from me for sale. It's a little "damp" in spots, but, hey, I guess it's sort of like being on a lake. And no HOA!
Actually, it's not impossible to find what you're looking for if one acre will do. There are a few on Johns and Wadmalaw Islands that would be within 30 min of Beachwalker Park and there are several on Edisto Island. There are even more out around Hollywood but that would be a 45 min drive to a beach even in low traffic times.

I don't think 1 acre of land with a habitable structure on it could be had for $50k in the Charleston area.
But if you shrink that down to a half acre, and expand your range to more rural areas, you can probably find a dilapidated shack in a swamp, far from any urban areas, jobs, or schools.
Thanks to everyone. I am not a troller. I am thinking ahead and finding where I want to live and all of America is available, so I have been on this forum before, in FL and TX asking different questions. Since I dont know the area I dont know where to start looking for land that is why I am asking. If my questions bother you feel free to skip over them. I don't know why some posters feel the need to make negative comments. For those who are willing to help, I know I can't find land near the ocean but perhaps a lake?
