Looking for a place to get a pair of eyeglasses that isn't too pricey. For years I got them at the eye doctor - a big no no.

Need a place that's competent with lenses though, as they are progressives.

Can anyone recommend someplace in Mt. Pleasant?

It's not Mt P, but check out Jackson Davenport at King and Calhoun.

Thx! I never associate King St with inexpensive.

Was thinking more along the line of Target, lol. I think some Target's have optical depts.

If you're looking really cheap/inexpensive, I would think the Walmart (one closer to the bridge) would be the ticket. They have an eye center.

I don't know their prices, but they fixed an old pair of my glasses for free. If they were willing to do that for free, I assume they aren't too hard on the wallet. Might be worth calling and getting a quote at least.

Costco is fantastic AND if you don't like the pair they will get you a new pair at no charge including the prescription lenses. They are my go to place for eyeglasses.

Go to an Ophthalmologist for an insurance paid eye exam and get the optical prescription from them. Fill it online at Zenni Optical.

I have been doing this for years. I have two pairs (one dress style, one sport style) both with progressive lenses.

Do they accept insurance, though?

Thanks all! Ended up going to Target and they were very helpful but didn't have what I wanted in my size. Learned a lot though.

Will look online at Zenni, and Low Country Vision, thx. Where is there a Costco in MP?

Didn't know about Walmart having an optical shop - does the one at Oakland also?
