Parks yes. The Battery and another apartment complex has their own pool and don't use the Master Association ammenities. I don't believe any other subsection has their own pool. Park West does have a rather large number of MtP soccer, baseball fields, track, indoor basketball court, indoor pool, and dog park in the subdivision.

The perk with CP is multiple exits out of the neighborhood, specifically during the school year and you can avoid that wretched abomination of highway 41.
I think you'll be fine with most pools. Tupelo's pool is small because the neighborhood isn't going to be huge. Carolina Park's pool is designed for final buildout , although it gets more crowded at the beginning of the season due to the novelty factor from everybody who just bought their house. By the end of summer, it's pretty quiet.

Think about Hamlin as well. It has a very nice pool with easy access to 17 and rifle range. I am also at MUSC and it generally takes 20-30 minutes to the Bee street lot.
