We will be making our annual trip to Charleston next week but would like to briefly interrupt our great week and suffer for awhile and watch our lousy Jacksonville Jaguars play the Chiefs.
We will be staying off of King Street and would prefer to walk ( say within 2 miles). Any recommendations?
I doubt our game will be very popular so we need a place with plenty of TV options. Only other preference is comfortable seating options. Of course, we may not be there long as the Jags will probably be blown out by the half but you never know....
May want to try Meeting @ Market (120 Meeting St), a new sports bar in the Charleston Place Hotel. Also The Alley (131 Columbus St) may be a good option. Also the Carolina Ale House (145 Calhoun). There's a few other sports bars; you should check Yelp and call ahead to see if the Jags game will be playing.
Like Zuman said, other places are better. I will add upstairs at the Mellow Mushroom on King , you can watch the game for sure, avoid King Street grill, it's overcrowded and the food is no good.
Yeah
Owners of the building have other "plans" and did not renew the lease. KSG wasn't the best food but it was ok, we always enjoyed watching the game there and hanging out a bit.

The waffle fries were legit. Yeah it wasn't 5-star food, but for bar food, it got a pass from me. I think there's a Mt P location though.
Speaking of the owner, wasn't Ben Rothleisberger (sic) the owner? or majority?
