A few years ago I went to the fair and it took 45 minutes to park in a huge open field that should have taken 10 minutes at most. Does anyone know if parking is still poorly managed or do you have any tricks to get to a parking space near the fair in short order ? I like the fair but not enough to sit in my car for 45 minutes to park.

I'm just baffled why they can't parallel parking efforts into their huge fields. The put all cars into a single long line and parking takes forever.

Not really, it'd be like taking a straw that works fine and cutting a little hole and blocking off the straw. It just ends with everyone going into the new parking lot. The issue with your image is that the limiting factor is car flow rate and that doesn't change the flow rate just where the flow goes.
