Is there kind of park in the area that allows drone flying. Im new at it so dont want to fly in my neighborhood and end up flying into someone house. Thanx in advance

Im not sure of specific parks, but I do think theres a ban on flying within 3 miles of an airport. I think.

Im sure theres links with specifics. Sorry I dont know more.

It is still a free country as far as I am aware. Take it to a public park park and just fly the damn thing, you don't need anyone's permission. Or go out to one of the abandoned industrial sites on the neck so you don't have to worry about getting it stuck in a tree.

Most quadcopters, expect for the really tiny ones, will fall under these guidelines too. You can still fly it in most places (I fly my Phantom around my neighborhood all the time), but I still have my FAA registration for it.

I think its pointless to pay the $5 but i had to do that also.

Live 5 News recently did a story after Christmas for those who may have received drones for Christmas. It has a lot of information regarding the rules for flying them. Scroll through their Facebook page and you can find it. The city of Charleston does not permit drones to be flown in ANY of its parks.
