Our new home in Summerville is just getting started and we will be moving from CT in the Spring. Because of the cost of moving furniture and the fact that everything we have is "northern" furniture, we decided to buy new for the new house. We will be down in a couple of weeks and want to start scouting store. Can we get recommendations for living room and bedroom furniture (mattresses included) as well as patio furniture. We will also be looking for a partners desk and attached book cases and not sure if we will hve to hve it custom made or not. TIA

What is your price range? Me personally I like havertys furniture because of the quality and makes but they are a lil on the high side if you are trying to budget

Haverty's is nice, and somewhat pricey. I've had good luck at Stuckey in Mt Pleasant which is still nice quality but not as nice as Havery's

I second Stuckey. They have some decent prices for furniture and the salespeople aren't trying to force the sale on you. Haverty's has a huge selection, but prices are up there.

If you're on a budget, you can check out Ashley HomeStore or Conn's in North Charleston. Can't attest to the quality, but they're definitely budget friendly. You can also check out At Home. Definitely some interesting stuff there.

We prefer to get quality. Not trying to budget. After selling a house and a condo up here, we should have a good amount to spend on extras.

I like Haverty's for Quality. They have Sales Events on the usual weekends.....we bought a Sofa on Memorial Day Weekend at a deep discount. If you can wait til one of their sales, you can get a good deal.

Haverty's is great. Definitely stay away from Infinger. We had a terrible experience with them...ended up returning a sectional and bought one from Haverty's instead.
