I am in another state and working for a profitable company that doesn't offer any benefits (no health insurance, no vacation pay, no sick pay, no 401K etc).

I am wondering how common is having job benefits in SC? Is the company I am working for considered normal for SC standards or is this a bit on the extreme site?

Thanks!

I don't think that be measured/judged by state. Each company is different. If you were to toss them into categories I would say larger companies typically offer better benefits but it's not always the case. I have worked for small and large companies and I was lucky that most had great medical benefits. I was never lucky when it came to 401k matching, I worked for companies that matched very little with a cap of $500 per year.
