Considering moving to Mt. Pleasant. Does anyone know a school that has a good support system for dyslexic children in the Mt. Pleasant area?

All schools have special services and I'm sure a guidance counselor can point you in the direction of a support group. Also, there's Trident Academy in Mt. Pleasant which is a private school for children with various learning disabilities. It's expensive, but I've heard nothing but praise for their program from parents.

Trident is very good. I now a few people that went there for that - one moved from out of state to go to Trident. It is expensive though.

My son attends a school now that is very similar to Trident. I'm looking to transition him into a larger school where he can have the experiences of a regular school setting. I know that all public schools have support for learning differences, but was wondering if one may have a good reputation for the support they offer to learning difference kids. I would also consider a private school.

I was going to say Trident.

Had a friend attend there... loved it. Actually lived in Greenville on the weekends, and Charleston in the week so he could go to Trident.
