I am flying down for a job interview on Saturday. I am going to be in the area on Friday morning and want to see what makes Charleston, Charleston. What should I see as I consider this move? Please keep in mind I will only have all day Friday to check the area out. I fly back to Columbus, OH on Saturday evening. Where should I get a beer on Friday night? I am staying at the Marriott at Mt. Pleasant.

Seeing you're staying in Mt Pleasant- go to Red's Icehouse on Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant. Great place to have a beer and socialize.
