I am relocating to Charleston for a business that has locations in N.Charleston and also Mt. Pleasant. So far in my research i think I want to send my daughter to Laing but i can't find ANYTHING that tells what cities I can live in and be a "resident" of the Laing school district.

Can anyone help me?

i need to rent; short term until my home in Michigan sells and I can buy.

Laing is a good middle school in the town of Mt. Pleasant. It received a "good" score on the South Carolina State Report Card. All the other Middle Schools in Mt. Pleasant received a "excellent score.

Some of the more popular Mt. Pleasant subdivisions that appear to be zoned for Laing are Seaside Farms, Sweetgrass, Hidden Lakes, Hamlin Plantation, Chadburry Village, Oakhaven, Wando East, Lakeshore, Waters Edge and Snee Farm. I would certainly confirm the school district before you sign a lease.

Also, Laing has been moved to the OLD Wando high school location. There are rumors Rivertowne/Planters Pointe and Colonade will be zoned for Laing. Also try Brickyard because I know some of the brickyard listings say Laing some say Cario. Like Joe say's check with the district before you sign a lease if laing is important.

The are selling the old Laing building and plan to rebuild in the future. (thank god)
