Hi Everyone! I am relocating to SC from Detroit. I am able to transfer my job to either Summerville or North Charleston. I have never visited South Carolina and would like a very safe Family friendly neighborhood middle-class. With good schools. Any input? Or a good site to look for rental homes?

Thanks so much!!!

Stay out of N. Charleston unless you have someone to show you around....

Most of it is not that great....

Summerville, West Ashley or MtP.

You can look at realtor.com for listings, I would stay away from Craig's list....

Price range will help narrow the search for both of you....

Summerville(DD2) has the all around better government school system.....

About 35 minutes to beach...

North Charleston in Dorchester County is a fine area and also in the Dorchester County School District that has a very good reputation. If you would like to send me a direct message, I have a lot of information available on my website.

Summerville -DD2-schools are good. My DW teaches in the system and my kid attends too. Contact the Dorchester District Two office. They are great about answering questions about the system.
