You aren't just whistling Dixie there, Loves! I spent an August in each - Biloxi, MS and Plano, TX. We've got nothing on either of those locations!

Ahhh...she isn't right..

Next week Toledo will be in the 80's with low humidity and we will be in the 90's with humid conditions.... I'll say it AGAIN, THE HEAT HERE IS RELENTLESS..up north it is just as bad for a few days then cools down ..It is hot everywhere now because there is a Bermuda High sitting off the East coast which dooms everyone. When that slides off and a front moves through , the upper midwest and northeast will cool down.. We won't. And I agree with you, comparing summer in Louisiana or Texas to here is about the same as comparing here to the upper Midwest or New England...not comparable in either case.

I have a townhome in Park South Station and absolutely love it! I moved in about 2 years ago, have recently gotten married, and our only regret was not going with one of the two larger plans. Definately visit, I am sure you will love it

As far as the schools please note that the average class room size is VERY large. With hundreds and hundreds of teachers FIRED because of money issues they have had to "dump" the students into large classes. Many of them exceed the approved limits but they have found ways to get around that. Even more teachers are slated to be FIRED next year so the problem with over crowded classes will for sure get worse....Note many of the fired teachers are not poor performers but long term career teachers with masters degrees and national board certification...When you dump hundreds of teachers like that it has to hurt the system and will....I may have given more info than asked for but you did want to know about the public schools. Hope this helps..
