Anyone in the area ever had to sue their HOA? And, what kind of attorney did you hire?

If you have any attorney recommendations, that would be appreciated.

Thanks

And obviously I meant 'here' not 'hear'. A little proofreading before hitting the enter key might help, right?

Suing your HOA is like suing yourself. Why don't you just go talk to the people instead of talking to a lawyer.

Maybe he feels like they're the ones who won't talk to him?

Hire an attorney that is not sleeping with the enemy and that has a pit dog reputation. You may have to go out of your jurisdiction. Best of luck.

LOVES is correct we have tried talking but it is hard to talk when your letters and phone calls are repeatedly ignored. We have been trying to "talk" to anyone associated with the HOA for 8 months and have yet to receive a response. But thank you for your positive input.

And as for suing ourselved...the HOA is still controlled by the developer, so the neighborhood has not taken ownership of the HOA.

That's the truth. The more I live in this town...the more I realize how incestuous it is. Your warning is well heeded.

Although we haven't pulled the trigger yet we've talked with Steve Black at Forman, Rossabi and Black, phone #704-970-1593. He seems very knowledgeable on HOA law. Good Luck.
