I personally have not taken it yet, but my friend use the Chinatown bus quite frequently from Charlotte to NYC and she is very pleased with the service...
Does it stop in DC? I always thought it was non stop to NY. I saw that article a few months ago and thought it would be a great way to get to NY if ever I needed to get away. But as of right now I always travel with someone else, so it'd be cheaper for me just to drive.
These buses do not go to DC from Charlotte. My sister uses the Gotobus, from NYC to Charlotte quite frequently and have no complaints about them. She always takes the 10 pm bus so that she can sleep through the ride.
