My family is relocating for a job change to Cabarrus County. We're trying to narrow down neighborhoods and would appreciate input. We're looking for established neighborhoods with family friendly residents and solid construction. We're not interesed in homes that sprung up overnight in clear-cut fields during the housing boom.

First, for those who live in the area, which would you recommend--Concord or Harrisburg?

Second, would you mind weighing in on some of these neighborhoods?
-Rocky River Crossing, Harrisburg
-Ivydale, Concord
-Covington, Concord
-Roberta Farms, Concord
-Kiser Woods, Concord
-Willow Bend, Concord
-Boulder Creek, Concord

Thanks!

I recommend getting a good realtor who is familiar with that area.

If you have school age children, and decide on Harrisburg, I would buy in an area that is zoned for Hickory Ridge HS. JMO. Rocky River crossing is no longer in that zone. The boundaries have just changed, so every RE agent may not know what they are. Call the school district office to be sure. I don't know anything about Concord, but with all of the changes in boundaries this past year I would definitely look in to the schools that any prospective house is zoned for. Good luck!
