Hello, I'm looking for an assortment of old-fashioned teacups for a project my mom and I are doing for my sister-in-law's baby shower. I'm sure I'll have to drive around to multiple places to find enough (15) but I don't know where to start.

Pawn shops? Consignment stores? Anyone have any ideas? Or, better yet, has anyone seen teacups and saucers for sale at any local shops?

I live in the Cotswold area, BTW.

P.S. We are making candles out of teacups. It will be an ADORABLE shower favor -- can't wait!

Don't know if you'd want to make the trip up to Mooresville, but there's several antique shops in the downtown area. The name escapes me at the moment, but the one on the corner of Center Ave. & Broad St. (across the railroad tracks from Soiree restaurant) has what you're looking for. As a matter of fact, they have tables set up for "bridal teas". They use an old wedding dress as a tablecloth, the bodice is in the center & they decorate it with flowers, very unique & pretty. Also, across Center Ave. & still on Broad St., there's Talullah's & Ye Olde Mantel. It might be worth the trip if you're interested.

There's a consignment shop in a little white house on Central not too far out of uptown. They have tons of teacups.

Central Avenue in Charlotte, just outside of uptown. Google it for directions. It's awesome!
