Does anybody know of an inexpensive dry cleaner in the Steele Creek area?
I'm use to paying .99 to have my husbands shirts washed and pressed and I can't seem to find a place with reasonable prices ($2.45 per shirt is in my opinion is way too much)
Thanks everybody (PS haven't posted in a while; husband finally got a job with a local wine retailer; not his dream job but it will work for now)

I haven't found any place as of yet that charges .99. The cheapest so far has been ASAP dry cleaners for 1.99 and I thought this was a bargain.

They're not in Steele Creek, but I have to throw out a recommendation for Piper Glen Dry Cleaners in Ballantyne. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! and affordable, and the best thing is that they actually do the work on premises. I've gone into a few of the "storefront" cleaners where they deliver the clothes to another location (which I envision as a modern day sweatshop, it may not be, but it's how I imagine these places) and then they get returned a day or so later.

One time with one off of Lawyers Rd. I swear my clothes smelled like smoke. I brought them back the next day, and I'm not kidding when the lady said "Yeah, we've spoken to our van driver about smoking in the van when delivering our clothes, but I guess he hasn't stopped " I was mortified and got my money back and left!!!!

Now I only go to Piper Glen. They're over by the Applebees, across from Stonecrest.

I took your advice and went to Piper Glen....You were right on the money!!! I love the fact the work is done on premises. His pricing is really good too. Thanks.

Awesome!!!! Good to know. I see you're from Brooklyn, something I always remember that while I was growing up my Mom used to take the bedsheets to the Asian Cleaners in out Long Island neighborhood and they would clean them and wrap them in brown paper with a white string.

Just a silly little childhood memory.....

Funny. I was paying $0.99/shirt in 1984. Seems like a price point that never changes for this. According to the inflation calculator that is ~$2.40 now so the Steele Creek price is on the money. However it's amazing you can still get it done for $0.99.

I eventually got an iron and ironed the shirts myself. Later we went to 100% casual so no more pressed shirts needed. Today I wear a teeshirt and gym shorts for work.
