On yesterday, lovesMountain helped me with so much great information, and I would like to hear from folks who live in University City and ask what are you favorite things to do and see in the University City? Can't wait to hear from you all.

What do you mean by University City? (maybe I will sound nieve by asking that)

Do you mean the University area like Tryon and WT Harris?

I love the boardwalk I wish that area was more happening spot because I love the lay out of the shops and the pond with the paddle boats and ducks.

Definitely the lake area at University Place, near the tall Hilton Hotel. The Wine Vault is really happening right now. A few of the other resturants around there have bars where people tend to hang out too. But the Wine Valut is the big spot. Just ride by there on any Friday or Saturday night and you'll see all the people. There's also live music at the lake area on Sundays, and they have large crowds. I'm not sure exactly what time the music starts, but if you went out there around 5:00 or 6:00, you should run into all the "action". Also you should try Stool Pigeons off N. Tryon on a weekend night. They tend to have large crowds too. I saw a write up recently in the University City magazine that mentioned Hawthorne's Pizza on Prosperity Church Rd apparently has a nice night time bar crowd, but I haven't been. I know Midtown Sundries off Harris Blvd. also used to have live music and large crowds, but I haven't been out there in years, so I don't know about now. But you can't go wrong with the Wine Vault.
