Charlotte-based Celgard, which makes parts for batteries, plans to expand the plant it is building in Concord and add an unspecified number of jobs there. The $65 million expansion will increase its lithium-ion battery-separator capacity for electric cars. It plans to open the first section of the plant by the end of the year. It has said it will employ 204 there.
