Hi everyone,
I'm moving to Concord from Greensboro in the fall for a new job and really wish to find a townhouse rental. It will be temporary until my fiancee can find a job in Charlotte, and then we will live there, but until that time he will have to commute north. I've only come across 2 townhouse developments for rent: caralea (which looks old) and meadow creek townhomes (which i tried to find, but couldn't). Are there any more FOR RENT? Preferably close to I-85 for commuting purposes? If not, how about any good apartment complexes near I-85? I'm really really looking forward to getting down there and trying to get a jump on things!
There are a couple nice complexes just north of Concord Mills Mall (i.e., drive past mall to get to I85). I was moving a family member down here recently and checked out Bexley Concord Mills, Reserve at Stone Hollow, and Circle at Concord Mills. All three looked nice... Reserve is the cheapest/quietest and is a smaller complex, Bexley was nice but management less personal, and Circle was probably the nicest inside but a little over priced. It takes maybe 5 min to drive from any of them to I85... Christmas & a couple race days a year traffic is heavier.
I'm not aware of many town homes in Concord near 85. Not sure why your preference for a town home, but if you are looking to have a yard or whatnot you may be better off looking for a house to rent. There are several for rent in Kannapolis (just across I85 from Concord) and I'm sure there are many in Concord as well.
