I like the large bin - seems like we're able to recycle more. So - pizza boxes are still a no-no, right??
They are in Charlotte. There should be no food residue in recyclables and there's no way to clean a pizza box. That being said I don't think the recyclers expect to see tuna cans that have been through the dishwasher.
I wish that would happen in Mint Hill. Much easier when it is windy outside, wouldn't have to run around picking stuff up that has been blown away.
Not necessarily. One of my neighbors leaves his big can outside, and during a recent windy storm it flipped over into my driveway and it's contents were spread across a dozen lawns. Granted, it took some unusual wind, but it can happen.

Not the can itself, but some of the papers and lighter stuff that I put in there.
I love mine! I'm embarrassed to admit we were not recyclers before. When we moved to Matthews, we didn't have the container. I called to have them bring me one, but they wanted me to go pick one up in Lancaster, SC. Ughhh. I never go there and it's too far for me, so I haven't done my green responsibilities until now. It will be easy. I'm actually excited about participating.
