From the article:

Kuntz says he was walking with his dog in the nature preserve when a coyote began walking parallel to him and followed him for several hundred feet. Kuntz says he then threw a ball for his dog to fetch.
"The dog chased after the ball, and then the coyote that was paralleling me just made a beeline straight for my dog," Kuntz said. "It did not attack it, but I yelled at it so it would go away."

What an idiot. BRAD KUNTZ IS AN IDIOT.

We want to preserve the perfect state of nature, until we don't like something in it. I expect it's only a matter of time until someone gets "attacked" and then all the coyotes will be killed.

Here in Gaston County we have coyotes and foxes running around. A man was bit by a rabid fox last week.
