Anyone have dentist recommendations for the Charlotte area? I'm looking for one. I'd prefer someone who doesn't try to sell me services that I don't need. Some dentists seem to "find" cavities that never seem to actually materialize, or decide that every one of their patients needs their special 100 dollar deep cleaning. A good, honest dentist is what I'm looking for.
Dr Merlo (like the wine). The best! On Brunswick Ave near CMC. I've been going to this dentist since the 1970's although the original dentist retired about 10 years ago. This is a great staff that I highly recommend.
Dr. Walter Schacht, 2200 The Plaza, Charlotte 28205, 704-334-8106. He's AWESOME! Don't be swayed by the part of town his office is in, it's only near the ghetto, not yet IN the ghetto...
We've been using Dr. Heather Rorison for years. She's in the Cotswald area off Randolph. My wife and I both get sweaty palms just thinking about a visit to the dentist and Dr. Rorison really puts us at ease - taking NO (laughing gas) for major work (crown work, etc.) helps :-) She never pushes on any dental needs and only advises what would be good practice for the patient. Oh, and for the guys, she's hot and I don't mean she's running a fever.
Dr. Menaker and Dr. Rodney of Smile Charlotte are awesome!! Not once have I felt they were more interested in a sales pitch than my dental healthcare.
Randolph road near the mint museum, can't recommend them enough!
I've been twice, once on a Groupon a year ago, then about a month ago. First time, all was good. A month ago I felt rushed, and Dr Menaker raced in and out. They strongly suggested a different set of X rays than I'd had before, but I don't consider that a hard sell.
Overall their care is fine, and they got a lot of great reviews. Just be sure to take control of your time with them.
I have tried three dental offices in Charlotte and would not return to any one of them. I have 18 years experience as a chair side assistant and office manage (in another state) and Charlotte dentistry is shocking to me. I have needed one procedure other than my twice yearly prophy but my husband has required some dentistry. The staffs have seemed poorly trained and rude and one office broke my husbands new partial then charged him to repair it! I would love current suggestions for a good office anywhere in Charlotte. We have insurance, we are not difficult patients but I do recognize good dentistry and appreciate it. We live in North Charlotte but I'm willing to go anywhere for an experienced, good office.
