My wife and I have considering moving out of not just miami but florida overall. We're tired of the high cost of living, fast lifestyle and were considering moving to charlotte. We also have 2 young kids and eventhough theyre still not in school, we are thinking about their future and we want them to get a better education then what they can get in FL. Now I do have a few questions and would love some feedback.

Good places to live? We're looking to rent in a community thats family oriented. Can be on the outsides of charlotte. I dont mind communiting since i do that here in miami. Hows the job situation in charlotte? Here in FL its getting harder to find a decent job. Seems like the only jobs available are $7-$10hr jobs and thats not going to do it for me. 9yrs of experience in the wireless ind. (VZW and Sprint) and did some banking for a few months. And my last question, for now, how are minorities really treated up there? My wife and I are both hispanic. Dominicans but pretty much Americanized to the point where we speak to each other mostly in english, listen only to english music, English church services etc etc lol

Feedback will be much appreciated guys/girls

THANKS!

Concord,Harrisburg, Cornelious, Mint hill, Lake Norman, Huntersville.. etc. Great areas I am familiar with.

Jerbs? they tuk er jerbs! Kidding, the jobs situation exist but are hard to find. Like everyone else we took a hit with a bad economy.

Minorities are treated fine. However, they mostly stick together in community's. Some may disagree but it seems that way. Go where you feel comfortable.

Hickory Grove Baptist Church is really popular down here. Mixed community's and a great place to go. I grew up within this church with my grandfather.

Charlotte is a nice place and you can find any community you want inside the city or on the outskirts. To get a feel for the neighborhood I always take afternnon rides on Friday and Saturdays.
