Oct/Nov weather in charlotte (moving, clothes, cold weather)

What is the weather usually like in Oct/nov? lots of rain,snow, wind? moving over to charlotte on Oct 27 from honolulu. Need to know what to pack in carry-on,lol as far as clothes. I.e ECWCS parka, or just a regular nylon wind breaker, stuff like that.

Well you don't have to worry about snow (leave the parka at home) but it can get quite chilly by the end of November. For the rest of October, you will need a variety of clothes. Shorts and t-shirts one day, jeans and sweaters the next. We get a bit of everything in October. Our normal high temperature right now is 73° with normal lows in the lower 50s. By the end of November though, that normal high drops to the lower 60s. So you may want to bring a sweater or two.

If you can get a hold of a good 7' Black Bear you should have enough fur to make do for the cold weather here.
