The Carrousel Queens aren't wearing their gowns I see...a very classy tradition gone.

Is it feasible to come into Charlotte via Amtrak from Raleigh the day before and stay in a hotel without having a car? Can anyone recommend a hotel walking distance from the train station and walking distance to the parade route? Thinking of doing it this year! Thanks for any help!

There is not a hotel by the train tracks but there is a motel Days Inn right at the beginning of the parade which also on the side Amtrak is at. Google maps has it 1.1 miles so it is a feasible walk.
