so, i know the convention is coming to town, but i was wondering if any of you guys might know about tempororary or permanent positions or other sites i could check out for my gf, she's moving here this year, but i told her i want her to make sure she has a steady job before she moves, front desk and housekeeping would be great, thanks

She should go to the hotel website and apply there. Most hotels list their open jobs there and allows her to leave her resume there as well, if there is no position.

thanks, i thought of a charlotte job site it mighta been called charlottejobs.com, but i figured i'd look on here just to get some other ideas

Going to the hotel website is better and more up-to-date than the job site links.

My husband used to work at a Hampton Inn and Suites. One in pineville and one in Lebanon, TN. Check craigslist and apply in person and dress up even to put in applications. It really makes a difference.

Many hotels don't bother with corporate websites, but do most of their hiring from in person appplications. Frankly, I use craigslist for most of my housekeeping, laundry and houseman positions. My hotels currently have openings for all three job categories.
