There was a wreck on 74 inbound near the 277 split in the far left lane. Traffic was flowing around it at a safe but swift pace and no one seemed to be rubbernecking. Must be something weird going on.
There must not have been much shiny blinky stuff. Or the drivers were too busy texting to notice. Or maybe all those worker bees really wanted to be on time.

You must have left early enough not to see the backup.
They do say it was in the right lane so not sure if it was the same one you had seen.
I'm pretty sure I saw that car too but it was pulled over and there was a safety patrol vehicle behind it. Unless there happened to be two at around the same time. I rolled through there at about 7:40 (I am OCD about looking at the time when heading in).
The article says that traffic cameras showed traffic backed up to Eastway at 8 am. That's pretty normal for that time, although Fridays are usually a little lighter.
