$4.28 for a 20 oz. Cheerwine at the airport. I said " good Lord, that is a lotta money. How much for just the wine?"

I am the King of Cheerwine (at least I was before diabetes struck me down) and even I would not pay that for the nectar of the gods!

Would this not be considered price-gouging at any venue besides the airport or Panthers stadium? Good grief! There oughta be a law, but then we have the option of not spending to get a beverage. Still, an outrageous price. Keep in mind the person at the register is probably getting minimum wage while the vendor is laughing all the way to the bank after they pay their rent for space.

I know the subject is the "price" of Cheerwine, but has anyone ever mailed it. I would like to send a six-pack of Cheerwine to a friend on the West Coast, but afraid the carbonation would make it explode. Any ideas on how I could do this? What would be best as far as mailing, bottles or cans?

When I was in the navy, my dear mom, bless her Cheerwine mailing soul, mailed cheerwines to me, ALL OVER THE WORLD.

At least a six pack a month, many times more. Not one was ever burst or leaking. I would conservatively estimate I have received between 200 and 300 six packs through the mail.

I have had cheerwines above the arctic circle and on the equator. No problem mailing them, at least there was never a problem with the many I received.

Oh these were 100% cans.

Nectar of the gods!

Thanks LLN...didn't think I would be able to mail it. Cheerwine is one of the Carolina things I love the best. Was afraid it was going to explode. Wanted to send a care package of things that are from the Carolina's/South that you can't get on the West Coast. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. If only I could get an In/Out Burger sent to me...Thanks again for your input, LLN.

Have you checked Cheerwine Finder Maybe it is already in their area. I found it in San Francisco at a liquor store, for goodness sake.
