Just visited this development over the weekend and was blown away by the prices and size of the homes. The model was like was call The Roman, by Ryan Homes. It was just over 3000 sq. feet and pretty fantastic inside.

The ammentities are fantastic, the neighborhood looks really quaint.

We noticed the water treatment plant on the way in, but no smell. We were told it was capped. We ran into a few residents and asked them about the smell, they said they haven't noticed a smell. One person who has been there the longest said there used to be, but not anymore.

We did noticed gunshots being fired and were told there was a range nearby. It didn't bother us The shots sounded pretty far away.

Our concern is well the prices are so amazing, they seem too good to be true.

Anyone living their now? What are your thoughts?

Did you confirm the location of the gun range?
Where are you relocating from NCbound?

It's a rifle range next to Anklin Forest. You can pull the aerial map up on google and see the long distance range.

Question Are you getting what you pay for Marvin-Ridge High School?

I have had similar questions with regard to Millbridge. I noticed homes in general that are in the "Cuthbertson" high school district are cheaper than those that are Marvin-Ridge High School. I worry that saving a few dollars on property will be a regret in hindsight.

I also question if Marvin-Ridge might be a being "oversold" as being the best, even though they are a few points higher on Great Schools.com. These things Realtors CAN'T tell you.

Does anyone living in Waxhaw know if it is true that you get what you pay for in the Marvin Ridge high school area?

We looked At Millbridge and primarily ruled it out because of the sounds from the firing range and the distance we would be driving back into Charlotte- I hear many people like it, it just wasn't for us. We have "skittish" dogs... LOL
