I went last year too. Nice event. I love that location. It's good for checking out the resturants at the Midtown development either before or after going to the festival.
That greenway is an absolute treasure! We went on a whim yesterday and I could not believe how gorgeous it looks. We walked almost all the way up to 7th street and then headed back for a late lunch at the Met. Awesome!
We went on Saturday and totally enjoyed it - they've done a nice job with the greenway, and the artists were friendly and fun! i hope they all did well!
That Metropolitan development has really shocked me. I’m always surprised at how busy it is. I didn't think it would be that successful. It’s like our mini version of Atlantic Station in Atlanta. With the Greenway now fully open, I’m sure it will be an even more bustling location.
Seriously. That Hickory Tavern was PACKED on Sunday, inside and out. The artists were amazing. There was one guy who painted scenes from around Charlotte. Lots of great pottery. We made the mistake of going to Mamma Ricotta's though. Frank Scibelli needs to step up his game over there, especially now that the park is done. Mamma looks tired and neglected.
