I like seeing NC entrepreneurs on this show. This past January I saw a guy from Sparta promoting his innovative truck, cargo rack. It cool idea for those that haul stuff in a truck.
The Sharks was wanting him to have it produce overseas to reduce cost of product being made and he refused because he believes in America and wants to bring jobs to Sparta. So they rejected him.
I just went to his site and looks like he partner with ARCA and will be displayed at ARCA 200 Latest Invis-A-Rack News
Love the show and wish best of luck to our local entrepreneur!
Let's hope this will encourage other potential local entrepreneurs to take the next step - these guys are the true fresh blood of our economy, we could use a lot more of them...
The show is essentially “American Idol” for entrepreneurs. Hopefuls pitch their ideas to a panel of self-made millionaires and billionaires, including Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and FUBU fashion line founder Daymond John.
Sure, it's just like American Idol. If by that you mean it is completely different. I like the one in the UK better, Dragon's Den. They get far less goofy with it.l
I just look at pictures of those shoes in link in OP, those are some ugly shoes. Interesting idea but when shoes get worn out they become work in yard shoes for me.
Well, it looks like he made a deal with the FUBU guy.....I can only wish him the best in his endeavor. At least he was doing something to make life easier for his family....and I believe he will succeed.
I really love Shark Tank...it introduces you to so many new ideas!! Makes you want to come up with the next great thing, that no one can live without!!
diertac........I was very impressed with him...mainly because it took a lot of nerve to do what he did...just getting on the show. He then litterly begged the FUBU guy to help him, after all the other sharks wouldn't have anything to do with his product. Granted, he was between a rock and a hard place...but he got "a" deal. I hope it works out for him!!
Ohhh yessss.....the guy with the Bluetooth thingy.....now he is the one that is really going to make it!!
I liked his idea of recylcying sneakers, but that market niche is rather small. Let's see what Daymond can do with the business, after all he is in it at 80%. Daymond is a real shark, taking 80% of a company, because he knows that he will be the one doing 80% of the work to get the company off the ground.
Thanks BrookQ for answering how much stake he put into it. It was muffled or quick and I wasn't sure if he stuck with 20% or 80%.
I still turn worn out shoes into yard work shoes.
I as well like the phone key lock. The guy gave comparison of average deadbolt of but his product is in more competing with the price of keypad dead bolt.
He showed how to unlock it and lock it without phone near but I was wondering how do you lock when you have phone on you as your exiting the home.
