Isn't that a folk tale? If so, we have had a lot of foggy mornings this August...

To me fog is fog lol. It just a low lying cloud that idiots drive with no head lights but 'The Fog' was a creepy movie especially the older version of it.

Actually, the lore is regarding thunder during a winter storm, not fog.

Though it is not a scientifically proven fact, many in NC have witnessed the phenom of snow within 10 days of winter thunder (thunder is most often associated with hot weather).

According to folklore, For every foggy morning in August, there will be a day of snow in the winter. So if a lot of mornings are foggy, some think that it means we will get a lot of snow.

The idiots also like to drive with their high beams on in the fog, blinding themselves.

The fog? Not in NC.

The thunder in the wintertime in NC? Yes.

I've heard of the fog theory. We had a lot of fog in August.
