NASCAR Teams Lake Norman Area ? (Charlotte, Kannapolis: home, neighborhood, live) - North Carolina (NC) - City-Data Forum

Can someone please give me a list of NASCAR Teams that are based around the Lake Norman Area.

I moving to the area and I just thought it would be cool to know so I could tell my friends and family
back home and make them jealous.

Joe Gibbs Racing is in Huntersville.
Michael Waltrip Racing is in Cornelius.
Penske Racing In Mooresville.
DEI is in Mooresville.

Of course, one of the biggest teams Hendrick (Kasey Kahne, Dale Jr., Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon) is in Charlotte.

The Speed Channel is based in Charlotte.

Michael Waltrup's shop, Raceworld USA is in Cornelius

The question might be easier answered by which ones AREN'T located in the LKN/Charlotte area. Here is just one of the local tours that take you around to the shops. Just looking at that list I can see many that aren't listed. Here is another with more shops listed. To summarize, there is a LOT of them. haha

cool I just went on tour and watched all the videos ...Awesome
You know some of them could be on this forum right now ,since many of them live down here
man I can't wait to get back out on lake Norman

Haha Never know....I know we've got 3 different race shops represented in my neighborhood (no drivers) so there's definitely plenty around. I know I've taken visitors riding around town and showed them where most of the shops are located as it's just cool to see that and recognize things you see on TV and to know where it starts at.

Same here Wolf. Several neighbors in my sub work on the race teams. Truck series driver Todd Bodine lives here. On Main St., in Downtown Mooresville, is the "Race City USA" shop. Lots of info there & maps for the race teams.
