Where is there a good spot in Charlotte that I can record video relatively close to moving cars.. I need to do a video with sped up car lights passing by, but it's best if there is space to walk around and not a lot of people. Does such a place exist? lol
Not in this case because I need a person standing in front of it, but maybe for some shots. Were you going to suggest the observation area at the airport. That may be good too, but I don't know where that observation area is.
There are plenty of places where you can stand beside a busy road and film. Independence Blvd. comes to mind, with lots of parking lots close to the street & in some places, wide enough medians that you could set up there. Is it important what the background is?
Where are you starting from? I think there are plenty of roads all over Charlotte that could work.

Indy was my fist thought. I'll even volunteer to come blasting by.
Well, yeah, background was kind of important. I went Uptown and did some shooting there, I don't usually go up there but last night we pretty busy, the problem is the constant traffic lights which hinder from a smooth motion of cars passing by. Thank you all for responding, I appreciate your time and suggestions.
If Hong Kong was closer, I would of went here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4mEngFtEmc
