We're eating seafood tonite, but no buffet. We like to get takeout from Pier 51 on Pineville-Matthews Hwy. I don't know if the address is actually Pineville or Charlotte.
Don't know of any place with all you can eat oysters, tho. You can get buckets of steamed oysters or raw oysters at some places around town, but I am thinking that isn't what you want.

Well we called the riverveiw inn and they HAD NO OYSTERS.. We had planned a big party too. When I found out that there would be no oysters I canceled the whole thing... Thanks BP for killing the oysters because thats what they told us.
There are still oysters out there. NC is one of the largest producer of oysters. Just with spill fishermen are charging exorbitant rates and most restaurants would rather not carry them than to buy them at a price where they won't make a profit.

No. The Carolina's oyster beds are closed during the summer months. North Carolina closed March 31, and SC closed May 15. They probably won't re-open until sometime in October and that will depend upon water temperature. Restaurants on the coast normally sell gulf oysters to the tourists during the summer.
