Excellent post and well stated...really points out some of the differences between geographics and culture.... and not as drastic as people make them out to be.

Agreed. My only "problem" living in Charlotte is that it's an extra 3 hours drive time back to Connecticut from where we were / are now. We were in Charlotte for work but when the bottom fell out of the economy in 2007, and we lost our jobs we couldn't afford to fly anymore. Otherwise, Charlotte is a dynamic city and getting better quickly...glad to things growing again there and the economy diversifying.
BTW, loved the Italian Kitchen but my favorite Italian was Momma Ricotta's on Kings which is owned by family from Springfield, MA. Having Johnson and Wales in the city is also helping to make Charlotte and her restaurants much more interesting.
