I've used TNCR Home Page for warranty repairs and they did a fine job. It's kind of scary going there, you have to go down into a basement that looks like what you would think a nerd cave would be. Half built computers and parts are everywhere.
They are located in Southpark... I dropped off my computer after work in the parking lot behind Ruth Chris. The guy who picked it up had red hair, piercings and tattoos.
A day later I'm sitting at work and I replayed the scene in my head and thought..."OMG, I just gave away my Mac"
I should've mentioned The Computer Room earlier but I didn't think they were still around. Check these guys out. They are Charlotte's oldest provider of Apple only service.

Funny you say that, I drove past that place for years thinking that it must have been out of business.
When my wife's Mac needed service, I checked them out on the web and called them to arrange an appointment. The day of the appointment, I completely disregarded what the guy on the phone told me about going around back and headed in the front door. I was there, sort of confused because I could see all this Apple related stuff but it was all behind a security gate in a space that looked like it hadn't been used in a long time. That's why I made the comment about the basement, that is where I had to go in to meet the guy.
I seldom write reviews unless I am impressed or disgusted by the service. MacTech Computer is a great place, I called the store at 1 pm on a week day to ask if they could fix my a failed SSD from my MacBook ai, Peter was so knowledgeable and helpful; they took take care of the problem. I would recommend MacTech Computer Services their website is mactechcomputer.com
