I have an job opportunity in Concord, NC. I would be coming from Central Texas. I would like to know if there are nice areas to purchase acreage within commuting distance of Concord (within 1 hour each way). I would be purchasing acreage with trees and would not be interested in flat grazing lands without trees. I am not looking for high end housing/developments, but more interested in the quality of land and decent people as neighbors. Thanks in advance for your help.

If your specification is within hour then you open to alot of possibilities. If your job is near I-85 I would recommend looking into Rowan around China Grove Rockwell or High Rock Lake.
Davidson County I would search in Linwood.
Something more rural is heading west of downtown Concord into Stanley county even out towards Badin Lake.

I found this site that not specific to an individual realtor so it ok to post might make your search easier.
North Carolina Land for sale, North Carolina Acreage for Sale, North Carolina Lots for Sale at LandWatch.com
Click on the counties mention to see the listings for that area.

Salisbury is a nice area, some parts of Mooresville can provide acreage as well. I am on the opposite side of Charlotte in Union County, so someone else can probably better assist. I dont know where Morganton is in comparison to Concord but i like the area a lot.

We have some acreage for sale. Lots of trees. Hardwoods, etc. 1.78 acres. It's supposed to go with the house sale, but it doesn't have to. There is a lot of for sale by owner wooded lots in Concord. Many on Eva Dr. We also have a lot of nice churches in Concord.

The OP appears to be a drive by. They posted this single post back in March, use caution in how this thread is updated.
