I am a Special Education teacher in the Northern Virginia area and plan to move with my Husband to Charlotte this Summer. With that said, I'm looking to learn as much as possible regarding the Char Meck Exceptional Children's program. I've read the school district's website re: the program, but I was hoping to obtain some thoughts and opinions of specific schools/specific programs. I'm most interested in working in a self-contained program vs. inclusion; thus, any information you can provide re: the existence of these programs within general education buidlings would be helpful.
I'm aware and interested in the Metro school, as well, as I currently work in a public day school for exceptional children in Fairfax County, VA. Thus, any insight into the Metro school would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the helpful insight. We look forward to joining your community.
