OK OK I know these are boring but there's a straw vote going on NOW you can watch on TWC or live online at Watch Meetings or you can watch it online later.

What they are doing is going through test rounds of votes to see how people are leaning and tweak from there. I think it's a fun process.

This is all about the budget. First up is CMS and Bill James immediately put a motion forward to cut their budget by $7m. If I didn't know better I'd wonder if he's trying to tweak the two former BOE members that are now on the BOCC.

These votes don't count. No policy will change. That will come later.

Anyway this only happens once per year so if you don't have anything else to do it might be worth a peak.
