I wonder when they started this because a couple weeks ago I was working in my yard, and a large passenger plane flew over my house, now this is not unusual, what was unusual was this plane was much lower and going in a totally different direction than normal. I live about 6 miles from the Concord Airport.

I have to travel from the local florida airports Orlando, Sanford, Daytona, or Jacksonville depending on the best price and timing of flights available. I needed a service to travel between my home in Palm Coast and the airports. I found this great guy out of Palm Coast who is very reasonable in price that will pick you up or drop you off at any of the local airports and will deliver you to where ever you need to go Palm Coast, Daytona, Flagler, etc. His name is Ben and can be reached at 386--334-4784 or taxineb@gmail.com

Have been hearing commercials for this on the radio, advertising $53 one-way. Looks like the flights are only on Friday and Mondays starting 12/20, but there are actually some fares even lower than the $53. Apparently there is a discount if you use a debit card as opposed to a credit card.

Just bought my mom's ticket to visit here for the week of Christmas. With all the fees plus getting a discount for using a debit card, my total was $101 from Orlando/Sanford to Concord. (She lives near Sanford so it beats her having to go all the way to Orlando)

I am a happy camper. The cheapest deal I ever got for her during the holidays was $150ish. With layovers. This nonstop and only an hour and 10 minute flight, she was happy.

That's awesome! I'd love to know what she thinks of the airline compared to say flying jetblue or us airways. I have family in Orlando so it would be nice to be able to fly out of Concord and also save some $$

Please update us after her visit if you don't mind!

She always used Allegiant when she visits Chicago. She always liked them. Will update to see how it is with this route. Also note that there are a lot of "fees" for baggage but my mom just uses a carry on which is free still. (She leaves clothes up here too.)

We've flown Allegiant a couple of times when we didn't want to drive to Florida. We have absolutely no problems with them. It's a short flight, everyone is friendly, easy to get on at the airport and off (we have flown them out of Greensboro). I am excited that they will be closer.

Oh wow, I didn't know that was the first day. My mom will be on the first plane here then since her flight leaves first thing in the morning on the 20th. I wonder if they are giving away anything for that?
