Since I will be commuting into Uptown (near the Bank of America building), I would like some cheap parking recommendations either daily or weekly whenever I am in the office.

The garage parking is $130/month which is way too expensive and there seems to be some wait list to get a spot??

Thanks.

$130 a month for a garage spot is a pretty good deal. You could try one of the $5 a day lots off 7th or in South End but that's still going to be more than $100/month. I would take the train or a bus.

Last I checked, over a year go, you can park near the new UNCC building for $60. I know that Secure Parking runs lots near there. Not sure of any other companies. The parking is not covered. When I parked there I saw a lot of people walking from the parking lots toward the middle of uptown.

Too expensive? I have to pay $140 to be in the closest covered lot to my building. I don't think you are getting away for less than a hundred for covered parking up here. I seem to remember when we moved in here that they said parking in the bowels on the Epicenter was $110 but that was several months ago.

Sorry guys I had no clue about parking prices. I am merely entry level. I budgeted max $130 for parking to include in my monthy expenses while apartment searching. So I guess it's doable. 7th street parking seems to be a good option.

You could use the park & rides, and either ride the light rail or commute express bus for cost around $4.00 a day.

The secure parking website that I linked above had parking available as cheap as $45 a month if you dont mind a little walk. The 7th street parking is a little more expensive but with less of a walk.

I guess it really depends on how far you are willing to walk. I saw a sign for $2.00 a day for a surface lot near 6th and Graham. The lots on that side of uptown are cheaper.

I don't park monthly (park daily about once a week when I need to)but parking on or near West Trade St. headed towards Graham seems much more reasonable.
