Hi

Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in the south charlotte area. Currently pregnant and mind boggling trying to find a good pediatrician. Also can anyone recommend any good mom to be groups for socialising and meeting new friends. New to Charlotte and would be nice to meet people in the same boat as me or not in same boat as me but nice and friendly.

thanks

Dr Linda Givens at Ped's Associates, on Randolph Rd. One of the most knowledgeable, thorough, and compassionate physicians I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Her office staff is great too. In her absence, Dr. Jackson is a wonderful proxy. They are located on Randolph Rd, next door to the Mint Museum. 704-512-4475

Coolest thing is, they will see your baby in the hospital. That's quite rare any more. Most pediatricians defer to hospitalists, but not this group.

If you're close to Ballantyne I'd suggest Providence Pediatrics which is on Johnston Rd at the corner of Ballantyne Commons & Johnston Rd. We've used them for the past 5 years and go to Dr. Moorman...he has a great manner about him and is awesome with the kids. They will see you in the hospital also.

And UnionCountyMommies.com for those of us in the south!

I adore Charlotte Pediatric Clinic. See Dr. Richter and adore her!

We see Dr. Plonk at Providence Pediatrics, and other friends see Dr. Downing and Dr. Smolen.

Get on meetup.com and look for The South Charlotte Playgroup (Charlotte, NC) - Meetup

We really like this practice, and they use the Levine Children's Center if there are serious issues, which is a plus. We have seen quite a few physicians there, but my kids were tweens when we moved so I did not pick one. My kids like it there too. I also appreciate the Saturday and Sunday hours are there if you need them
