We just moved to Cotswold from Sedgefield. So far we love it, but I gotta say that the traffic on this side of town is horrible.

I can't believe that it's so much more congested around the Cotswold Village Shops compared to the Park Road Shopping Center. The Teeter in Cotswold is a nightmare and I've yet to get in and out without banging my head on the steering wheel.

Hopefully when the Teeter in Myers Park opens, it will relieve some of the congestion.

I'm not talking about rush hour. It seems like any time I venture out that the traffic sucks.

I'm just really surprised that the traffic can be that much worse than Dilworth/Sedgefield/Park Rd.

I love the Cotswold area but I agree about the traffic. I avoid that Harris Teeter if at all possible because of the parking lot. It is almost as bad as the Southpark Harris Teeter parking lot.

(I think I am officially old now that I will drive past one store to get to another one with an easier/better parking lot )

Interesting..

I don't think the traffic is that bad unless it's rush hour or Sunday shopping. I was over there the other night around 7PM and it was mild.

That Teeter is definitely a pain to get in and out of. The best way out is to go behind the Teeter and exit onto Randolph at the light.

Is it the shopping center, and the roads immediately surrounding it, or is it the whole area?

I think the Dilworthies have done an effective job of limiting construction of new apartments and limiting (if not preventing) new commercial development. That's why the traffic is much lighter and manageable in Dilworth.
